Flooring wars

There are a number of factors which come into play when it comes to choosing between tiles and hardwood flooring. Hardwood floors are made from natural woods such as bamboo, cherry, pine and oak. These are made in the shape of planks which are then cut and installed as per the size and requirement of the home owner. Tiles on the other hand are made of ceramic but also need to be cut and to fit in a room. The cost for hardwood flooring is much steeper than what it is to install ceramic tiles. Hardwood floorings are found in myriad textures, styles, color and designs. However the costs will differ since it is based on the choice of wood.

Hardwood floorings
are for homeowners who have deep pockets and are not on a budget. Tiles are also found in a plethora of designs, textures, styles and colors. There is always something to fit all budget types. The material as well as installation costs are much higher in the case of hardwood flooring as compared to tiles. Tiles and hardwood flooring both require daily cleaning. Tiles discolor over time due to dirt, dust and grime build up but hardwood is a natural repellant of dirt.
