Universal Floors, Inc. was contracted in the 1960s by Edmund J. Bennet to install & finish over one million square feet (1,100 Homes) of wood flooring for the entire project as well as the Swim & Tennis Club.  Several years later, South T. Lynn of Universal Floors picked up his final payment in full.  Mr. Bennett shook South Lynn's hand and said, "A job well done, I'll see you on the next job."  To this day, Universal Floors, Inc. has continued to work at Carderock Springs developement.
